Faladie é�a�A"Ladieé�a�� Sykes Henley Harrison, 91, of Bishop, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 7:15 pm.
She was born to the late Franklin P. and Tallulah Sullivan Sykes on June 12, 1923 in Allendale, SC. She married the late L.C. Henley in 1947 and they lived in Athens. Her second marriage was to the late Richard B. Harrison in 1973 and they lived in Athens, also.
Mrs. Harrison retired from CIT Financial Services in 1979 after 25 years. She later retired from Clarke Federal S & L and from Athens First S & L in Athens. Mrs. Harrison was employed at American Pest Control in Athens for over 20 years up until her death. She was an excellent example of dedication, trustworthiness and loyalty. Mrs. Harrison was a past member of the Salonia Chapter of Eastern Stars and served in several offices including Worthy Matron. She was also an active member of Rayé�a�a��s United Methodist Church in Bishop, GA.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Henley Hollin (Gary) of Bishop, and Angie Henley of Watkinsville, grandson Jamie Elder (Heather), granddaughter, Leslie Seymour (Tim) and eight great grandchildren Tyler, Austin, Luke, Emily, Tucker, Ella Seymour, Jaden Elder and Ian Cross, sister-in-law Sylvia Sykes, of Aiken, SC, and several nieces.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Lord and Stephens, West. A celebration of Mrs. Harrisoné�a�a��s life will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Rayé�a�a��s United Methodist Church in Bishop with Mrs. Harrison lying in state for one hour before.
