Ezelle Williams Hale

October 29, 1923 — June 21, 2015

Ezelle Williams Hale, 91, wife of the late James E. Hale, died Sunday, June 21, 2015. A native of Athens, she was the daughter of the late James H. Williams and Maggie Hammond Williams. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Minnie Howington and Betty R. Jackson. Ezelle was a 1940 graduate of Athens High School. She was a long time member of Princeton United Methodist Church where she served in several roles over the years. She was a truly devoted wife, mother and Christian. Ezelle and Jimmy will be spending their 69th wedding anniversary on June 29th in their Heavenly home together. Survivors include her daughters: Susan Hale Brooks of Watkinsville and Beth Hale (Dan) Swindell of Kettering, OH; brother; James T. (Naomi) Williams; grandchildren: Jamie Arnold, Kevin Brooks and Dana Swindell and one great grandchild, Asher Arnold. She was a very special Aunt to several neices and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 3PM at Princeton United Methodist Church with Revs. Dee Dee Lawson and Russell Repetske officiating. The family will receive family and friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment: Evergreen Memorial Park . A special word of gratitude to her personal caregivers Lora Chapman, Terri Puckett, and Gentiva Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Princeton United Methodist Church, 2390 South Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA 30605 . Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
