Everette S. Greene, 84, died June 13, 2023.

A native of Chuckey, TN, Everette lived most of his life in Walton County, GA. He was a son of the late Hugh ”Bill” and Edith Greene.

Everette is preceded in death by his wife, Jennie H. Greene.  He is survived by his daughter, Kim Greene and her daughter Trinity; son, Jody Greene; son, Rodney Greene and his children, Sydney Hayden and Walker Greene; daughter, Kristy (Scott) Coleman and their children, Taylor Coleman and Austin Coleman; son, Mike Greene and his children Nicole Greene, Justin Greene, Dalton Greene, Dylan Greene, Dakota Greene, and Davis Greene; son, Mark (Kristi) Greene and their children Josh Greene and Jordan Greene.

Everette was a very kind hearted man that everyone loved.  He was a great husband, father, and Papa.  He adored his wife, Jennie, who preceded his death 7 months ago.  They had been married 57 years.  He fought a good fight over the past 2 years with determination to never give up.  Much was learned by those around him during this time.

Everette was a sheet metal worker in his early years of life, following in his father’s footsteps.  He was self-employed with a metal fabrication business for over 40 years, then worked with 2 of his sons until he retired 8 years ago.  Everette even owned a restaurant for a period of time.  Once he retired, he couldn’t stop working, so he became an enthusiast for selling antiques.

Everette enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He had a great sense of humor and always made those around him laugh.  He loved big and had a great passion for others.

Everette will be missed by all that knew him.  Now he has been reunited with the love of his life, his wife Jennie.

Services will be at a later date.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, Watkinsville is in charge arrangements. (www.lordandstephens.com)
