Everett D. "Smitty" Smith, 80, died April 7, 2011.
A native of Franklin County, he was a son of the late Robert and Minnie Smith and the widow of Peggy Smith. Mr. Smith owned and operated Smith's Leathercraft in downtown Athens and retired from Athens Clarke County. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include three children, Tammy Steel of Bogart, Tim Smith of Bogart and Sammy Smith of Rock Glen, PA; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
