Athens - Evelyn Ward, 89, died Monday, December 12, 2005 at Silverleaf Assisted Living.
Born in Oglethorpe County she was the daughter of the late Melvin Richard and Annie Spence Ward. She was a member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Alma Daniel, Sara Brewer, Reba Daniel, Tinnie Mae Lee, Martha Ward, Catherine Hardman, Robert Ward and Maude Harris.
Survivors include her brother, Thad Ward of Athens, sister, Lee Ann Junod of Austin, TX and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were Tueslday, December 13, 2005 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Chris Camden and Rev. Tom Lang officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will be held at Arnoldsville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Oconee Heights Baptist Church, 4180 Jefferson Rd., Athens, GA 30607.
