Evelyn Parham

February 22, 1927 — January 5, 2015

Evelyn M. Parham, 87, a native of Madison County, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ardell Threlkeld Meadow, and the widow of the late Donald E. Parham. She was also preceded in death by brothers Harold, Pete, and Bill Meadow, and brother-in-law Henry Wood.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane P. (Tommy) Sorrow; sisters, Charlene Wood and Joyce (Jack) Fendley; grandchildren, Ricky (Deanna) Sorrow and Jennifer S. (Tony) Henderson; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Nolan Sorrow, Nash, Lauren, and Brett Henderson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Parham was a homemaker, seamstress, and a proud member of Colbert United Methodist Church and the Annie Laurie Hampton Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville with Pastors Hugh Hendrickson and Jim Haralson officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Family Cemetery, Colbert. Visitation will be held from 1pm until service time at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
