Evelyn Hammond

Evelyn Briscoe Hammond, 99, wife of the late Charles M. "Chick" Hammond, died Sunday, January 3, 2016. Born in Walton County she was the daughter of the late Lucius Briscoe and Mary Cordella Stroud Briscoe. She was a member of Bogart Christian Church and retired from Statham Garment. Survivors include her children: Donald (Eloise) Hammond of Gainesville, Peggy (Elliott) Denmark of Tucker, Eleanor (George) Prather of Good Hope, Gary (Jerry Ann) Hammond of Bogart; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with Revs. Ben Parker and Allen Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday, January 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bogart Christian Church or charity of your choice. Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
