Evelyn Joyce Dean peacefully passed away Sunday November 30th, 2008 at her home in Conyers after a long illness.
Joyce was born on January 6, 1929, in Madison County, Ga. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, T.W. Dean also from Madison County. She had two sons, Dennis N. Dean of Conyers (Sherry Dean, wife) and James W. Dean of Tallahassee, Florida (Noreen LeGare, wife). Joyce particularly took joy from her three grandchildren ---- Kelly Creegan and Patrick Dean of Conyers and Lillian Calvert-Dean of Savannah. Surviving sisters include Mrs. Doris King (Arnold King, husband) of Canton, Ga.; Gloria Phillips of Danielsville and Angie Dudley of Rockmart, Ga.
Joyce will always be remembered for her never tiring generosity and caring for others.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3:00 Thursday, December 4th at Lord & Stephens Chapel in Danielsville, Georgia. The Reverend Ray Jenkins will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Jones Chapel Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Jones Chapel Methodist Church, Highway 29 North, Danielsville, Ga. 30633 or Conyers United First Methodist Church, 921 North Main Street, Conyers, Ga. 30012.
Lord & Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
