Eva Ruth (Justice) Ellis

On Sunday, April 11, 2021, Eva Ruth Justice Ellis, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Born in Tifton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Justice and Lucy Butler Justice. In addition to parents Eva was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie William Ellis.  They were married on April 24, 1959.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Kay Bernales; grandson: Jordan Ellis and two brothers: Bobby and Carlton Justice.

Eva retired from Southeastern Testing Lab after 39 years and was a member of Bishop Baptist Church. She was a founding member and past president of the Oconee County Little League and member of the Golden Girls.

Survivors include her son and daughter in love: Pannell and Christie Ellis; son in love: Robert Bernales; grandchildren: Krystle (Derek) Shuman, Channing (T. Cole) Brown, Allison (William) Mahoney, Spencer (Emily) Ellis, Cruzz Bernales, Bailey Ellis and great grandchildren: Jackson Ellis, Rylee Shuman, Ellie Brown, Molly Ellis, Graysen Mahoney and Nora Ellis.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the funeral home.
