Arnoldsville - Eunice Elizabeth Bryant Kennedy, 96, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 3, 1914 to Bertha Mae Davis and John Miles Bryant, of Oglethorpe County.
She was married to the late John Aubryne Kennedy for 50 years, and lived in Oconee County. They had three children, Beth Manus (Danny), Nancy Fuller (John), John Bryant Kennedy (June); three grandchildren, John H. Kennedy (Mary Jo), Elizabeth Fuller (Jason Gonzalez), Natalie Kennedy James (Ryan); seven great-grandchildren, the late Jordan Kennedy, Blake Kennedy, Zach Kennedy, Gus Gonzalez, Ezra Gonzalez, Frankie James, and Wilson James, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kennedy was a 1935 Winterville High School graduate. She worked at Bell Bombers during World War II, and retired from Woolworth's. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Temple United Methodist Church, where she held many roles throughout her life and was affectionately known as Grandma. She will be remembered as a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and throughout the community. Visitation will be at Lord & Stephens East on Thursday, March 31, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Temple United Methodist Church, Friday, April 1, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
