Eugenia (pat) Ashford

Watkinsville - Pat Ashford died Wednesday April 30, 2008, at her home on Flat Rock Road in Watkinsville, GA. She was the wife of the late Clinton Alexander Ashford (Alec) who died in 1998.
Pat was born in Bloomfield, KY on January 14, 1917. She met and married Alec in 1940 when he was working in Hannibal, MO. They had one child, Evelyn Ann Ashford who died in 1988. Pat and Alec lived for many years in Iron Mountain, Michigan before returning to live in Athens and then on their farm in Oconee County.
Pat was an active member of the Ashford Memorial Methodist Church and the Morning Circle. She loved her farm and her cows and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.
Survivors include her sister, Evelyn Langley of Watkinsville; nephews, Robert Langley and his wife Beverly of Millersville, Maryland and John (Jack) Langley and his wife Sharon of Duluth; step grandchildren, Conrad and Liz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Watkinsville Cemetery. Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors has charge of the arrangements.
