Hartwell - Eugene Talmadge Moon, 72, husband of Mary Wilson Moon, died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Bolar and Kate Hamond Moon. He retired from Peterson Corporation as a machinist. In addition to his parents his brothers: Hugh Dorsey Moon, Thomas Edison "Tom" Moon, Charlie Hardwick Moon, James Bolar Moon, Rufus Jackson Moon, Ernest Vernon Moon; sisters: Viola Moon, Susie Estell Moon Kellum preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons: Ronnie Moon of Carlton, Randy Moon of Hull, step children: Michelle Brownlee of Elberton, William K. Dean of Hartwell, Eddie Ray Dean of Byron, GA; brother: Henry Ford Moon; sister: Sallie Sue Moon Bowen; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2PM at Vineyards Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Coile officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
