Ethel Odell Dillard

Arnoldsville - Ethel Odell Dillard, 92, of Arnoldsville, died October 28, 2010. Mrs. Dillard was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Dillard, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Carrie Bell. Mrs. Dillard was a longtime member of Cherokee Corner United Methodist Church where she taught adult Sunday School class.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, with visitation for one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Frances (Whit) Lester and Mary (Charles) D. Kitchens; sons and daughters-in-law, Alex (Shirley) Dillard and Jed (Joan Hare) Dillard; daughter, Elizabeth D. Smith; grandchildren, Tom Smith, Jennifer Smith Johnson, Anna Thornton, Alan Kitchens, John Lester, and Cheryl Kitchens Spires; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Homes for Boys in Savannah, or to your favorite charity.
