Eric Quinton Porter

Eric Quinton Porter, 55, entered into his heavenly home on September 21, 2022.

The only son of the late Howard and Sara Porter, was a life long resident of Oconee County and a graduate of Oconee County High School, class of 1985. After graduation, Eric joined the Army and was apart of the 82nd Airborne Division. Later in life, he became a truck driver.

Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Yulonda Porter; two daughters, Angelica and Jasmine Porter; his only grandson, Michael Porter; Mother in Law, Reba Morrow; Sister in law, Miranda Sheridan (David); niece, Addison Sheridan; nephew, Jonathan Sheridan, several beloved cousins and friends.

Services will be officiated by Pastor Carlton Shelton, at the Lord and Stephens West Chapel at 2pm on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Pallbearers include David Sheridan, Glenn Cain, Thomas M Evans, Jr, Brian Ridley, Eddie Manders and Chris Jones. Honorary pallbearers include Michael Porter, Jonathan Sheridan, Troy Shadley and David Childers. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and visitors on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm at Lord and Stephens West Chapel.
