Emory "Bud" Carson

Emory “Bud” Carson, 81, husband of Gwendolyn Brooks Carson, died February 1, 2022.

Born in Oconee County Georgia, he was the son of the late Marvin Roy Carson and Lucy Huff Allgood and brother to the late John William Carson and Edna Lovin.  Bud retired as a school bus driver from Oconee County Schools, had worked for the USDA in Watkinsville for around 30 years and in his retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator for Coleman and David Whitehead. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three children: Darrell Sosbee (Beverly), Johnny Carson (Amy) and Teresa Williams (Buck); sisters: Linda Seabolt and Hilda Butler; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2PM at Calvary Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
