Emmitt Carlton “Carl” Powers, Jr. “Bobo”, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend,58, of Watkinsville, died on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Bobo, as he was affectionately known by his family, was born in Athens, GA to Nancy Karen Stone Powers of Farmington and the late Emmitt Carlton Powers, Sr. Carl was a self employed carpenter. Survivors in addition to his mother include his siblings: Rachel (Jimmy) Ross and their children: Kayla Minish and Brad Van Gotum, Alicia (Bill) Nicholson and their daughter, Sydney Nicholson and Josh (Haley) Powers and their children: Hayden, Micah and Chloe Powers; and a number of great nieces and nephews; his former wife, Teresa Hayes; two children: Rebecca Powers (Ryan) Anglin and Larry Shane Powers; grandchildren: Madilyn, Levi and Candler Anglin.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 3PM at Oconee Memorial Park with Revs. Wayne Powers and Carlton Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM until 3PM at Oconee Chapel.
