Emmitt Mitchell Autry

Emmitt Mitchell Autry, 85, of Comer, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016.
Mr. Autry was the son of the late Frank Hamilton Autry and Mamie Thomas Autry. He was an ordained minister of the holiness faith. Mr. Autry enjoyed playing his guitar and singing at church. Most importantly, he loved his family and giving to others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Epps Autry and one son, Charles Odean Autry.
Survivors include two children, Terry Autry and his wife, Jean, and Cathy Smith and her husband, Keith; one daughter-in-law, Sarah Autry; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. Interment will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bruce Anglin, Larry Autry, Stephen Walden, Grady Autry, John Sims and Shane Autry. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
