Emily Katherine Stephens, 76, wife of the late William David Stephens, died Sunday, April 6, 2014.
A native of Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Marcus Faust Amason and Ellen Mae Griffiths Amason. She was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Marcus Amason. She and her husband were self employed painters and plumbers.
Survivors include her daughter, Gidget Stephens of Lexington, brother, Jake Amason of Carlton, sister Mary Frances Fleeman of Winterville and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 3PM at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Doug Bowers officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Cross Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frankie Ogle, Shawn Ogle, Cody Ogle, Austin Sims, Gary Fleeman and Greg Amason.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
