Emily Smith Florence, 78, died June 1, 2009.
A native of Maxeys, GA, she was a daughter of the late Lowe and Cornelia Mere Smith. Mrs. Florence moved to Atlanta, GA in the 1970s and then to Boonville, NC where she lived for the last thirty-five years.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2:30 PM at Smith Family Cemetery, Maxeys, GA. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Bill A. Florence; three children, Michael G. Florence of Pfafftown, NC, Teri O'Kelly of Covington, GA and Karen Martin of Mesquite, TX; two sisters, Evelyn Bosarge of Duluth, GA and Cornelia Smith of Covington, GA; brother, Theodore Smith of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Boonville Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 429, Boonville, NC 27011.
