Bogart - Elva Lloyd Deal, 88, a resident of Highland Hills Village, died March 9, 2009.
Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late James T. Everett and Rosa Everett and stepdaughter of the late Nellie Camp Everett.
A graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA, she was married in 1943. The wife of a career Naval officer, she was with him at duty stations throughout the US, as well as Japan. After completion of active duty, they moved to Atlanta, GA, where she was employed with Motorola Semiconductors for approximately 15 years. Upon retirement, they moved back to Emporia, VA, where she was an active member of Monumental United Methodist Church. She and her husband were avid travelers. In 2004, they returned to GA to be closer to family.
Memorial services will be Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Highland Hills Village, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA with Rev. Bill Hayes officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald A. Deal of Highland Hills Village; son, Ronald L. (Bonnie) Deal of Statham, GA; daughter, Pat Diane Deal of Highland, NY; brother, James "Jimmy" T. (Sherry) Everett of Emporia, VA; sister, Jane (Richard) Tucker of Franklin, VA; grandchildren, Ronnie (Suzanne) Deal of Watkinsville, GA, Allen (Marcelle) Deal of Columbia, SC and Melanie Deal of Kennesaw, GA and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:30 until 8:30 PM.
