Crawford , GA - Elsie Mildred Morgan Bradford, 97, died Saturday, December 25, 2010, at Quiet Oaks Health Care in Crawford , Georgia . A native of Oglethorpe County , she was the daughter of the late Lee and Viola Morgan.
Mrs. Bradford resided in Orlando , Florida from 1936 to 1996, where she was an active member of the First Baptist Church . Mildred also worked for the Orange County School System and held many offices in the Florida Association of School Secretaries, including President.
When she returned to Oglethorpe County in 1996, she was an active member of the Lexington First Baptist Church .
Mrs. Bradford was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph; her daughter Gayle Alexander, and a great grand-son.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Lambertson (Bob) of Lexington, GA.; Dr. DiAnne Bradford, Kennesaw, GA.; her son, Professor R. Edward Bradford (Jan), Oviedo, FL.; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Lois White, Crawford., GA., Ruth Hobbs and Jeanette Bradley, both of Chattanooga, TN.; and a brother, James Morgan (Mary) Clinton, TN., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Lord and Stephens on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at 1:30 PM. The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens on Monday, December 27, 2010 from 6PM to 8PM.
Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
