Eloise Betts

Athens, GA - Eloise Betts, 84, died Thursday, July 7, 2011.
A native of Athens, GA, she was a daughter of the late Willis T. and Lillie Mae Booth Dickerson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Betts, Sr., son, George Andrew Betts; two grandchildren, Andrea Betts Lott and Edward Matthew Tate; two sisters, Valeria D. Saye and Pauline D. Wilkes; brother, Lonnie Dickerson. She was a charter member of Central Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST with Rev. Jim Stuchell and her nephew, Mr. Lonnie Dickerson. Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Theresa Strickland Betts of Hull; daughter; Kathryn Betts Tate of Nicholson; sons, Mark D. (Rachel) Betts of Hull, David M. Betts of Hull, John A. (Becky Clark) Betts of Hull and James B. (Melissa Greene) Betts of Watkinsville; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Betts (Michael) McGraw, Michael Paul Tate, David J. Betts, Timothy P. Betts, Candace R. Betts, Caitlin Ellinwood, Dylan Betts, Casey Betts and Brady Betts.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral and may be reached at the home of Kathryn BettsTate, 1574 Loyd Nelms Road, Nicholson, GA 30565.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church.
