Elmer "Mark" Lamar Bailey

Elmer Lamar Bailey, 61, of Bogart, GA. passed away Thursday, 30 December, 2021.

Born in Winder, GA on 9 March 1960, Mark was the son of Robert Ray Bailey and Bonnell Wheeler Lashley. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Ray Bailey, step-brother Eugene Clarence Lashley, IV; grandparents Edgar Lamar and Nelda Frances Wall Bailey, Elmer Hargoe and Lucille Roberts Wheeler. He was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church.

Mark was a brick mason. Growing up he played baseball and football. He was an Avid Sportsman and spent most of his free time fishing or hunting deer, turkey and wild animals. He taught his children about wildlife and how to fish, hunt and call turkey.

Survivors include his mother, Bonnell Wheeler Lashley; step-father, Eugene Clarence Lashley, III; children, Robert William L. Bailey (Amy), Jefferson; Lauren Taylor Bailey Morocco (Mike), Athens; Stephane Brooke Bailey Brooks (Wes), Watkinsville; Andrew Eugene Bailey, Bogart; sisters, Penny Nell Bailey Gunter (Randy), Bogart; Candace Raye Bailey, Winder; Sharon Kaye Bailey, Bogart; Karen Faye Bailey Taylor (Paul), Demorest; grandchildren, Evelyn Rose and Camilla Joyce Morocco, Ladson Beau Brooks, Blake, Ethan and Emily Bailey; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Private family visitation will be held 5 – 6 PM, Monday, January 3rd, 2022 with public visitation held 6 – 8 PM at Lord and Stephens West Funeral Home. Private interment graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 4th, 2022 at Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
