Elmer G. Dean

Elmer Grady Dean, 85, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Born in Hull, he was a son of the late Guy Dean and Florrie Burroughs Dean. Mr. Dean retired from Atlanta Gas Company after more than 30 years of employment. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shelby Bryant Dean and his siblings, Ed, Lamar and Mildred.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Cofer and Tom and Glenda Bryant and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, West. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 4:30 until 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
