Elmer Robert Bradberry, 82, died November 15, 2010.
A native and longtime resident of Athens, he lived in Lincolnton since 1997. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Rosetta Huff and Emmett Harrison Bradberry and was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jo Epps Bradberry; son, Jeffrey Robert Bradberry; grandson, Richard Woodall; stepson, Stanley N. Brooks; brothers, Curtis Bradberry, Talmadge Bradberry, Anthony Bradberry; sisters, Hilda Savage and Betty Jean Bradberry.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Robert Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Brooks Bradberry; two daughters, Deborah Holliday of Athens and Susan Collins of Illinois; son, Mark Anthony Bradberry of Lawrenceville; stepdaughter, Claudia Brooks Dellinger of Commerce; sister, Vivian Burkhalter Drake of Watkinsville; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
