Elizabeth Smith, 73, passed away Friday, April 21, 2006.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Marian Mathews Turner. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert M. Ward and her second husband, John F. Smith. Mrs. Smith was retired from Athens First Bank after 38 years of service. She was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church, XYZ group, and Joy Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 3:00 PM from the graveside at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating.
Survivors include 2 sons, Terry Ward (Patsy) of Watkinsville and Larry Ward ( Connie) of Winder; brother, Felix Turner, Jr; 4 grandchildren, Tami Chastain, Robby Ward, Mike Delay and Michelle Cain and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
