Elizabeth Patrick (Pat) Misenhamer, born April 3, 1916, peacefully passed into eternal life on February 25, 2012. She is preceded in death by her spouse of almost sixty years, Louie Eugene "Mickey" Misenhamer.
Pat loved God, her family and her church with a passion. She and her husband were faithful members of Prince Avenue Baptist Church for over fifty years, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for over thirty years. She was president of the WMU and was involved in numerous outreach and mission activities. She was a longtime substitute teacher in the Clarke County school district. Pat also loved to travel. Upon his retirement, Mickey and Pat traveled around the world to places such as China, France, Germany and Israel. In 2000, she took her three children to see the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany and at age 90, she traveled to Russia.
Pat loved deeply and is survived by the following: her daughter, Patricia Parson and husband, Nelson Parson of Dewey Rose, GA, daughter, Kathi Baucom and husband, Don Baucom of Charlotte, NC; son, Gene Misenhamer and wife, Pam Misenhamer of Bishop, GA; six grandchildren, Chad Baucom, Lou, Logan, Lucy and Mac Misenhamer, Rachel Key; five great grandchildren, Noel and Kiya Key, Kylie and CJ Baucom, and Carson Misenhamer.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:00 am at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the building fund at Prince Avenue Baptist Church, 3691 Monroe Highway, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
