Elizabeth (Davis) Luke

May 7, 1928 — May 23, 2012

Elizabeth (Libby) Davis Luke, 84, of Bogart, was welcomed into Heaven on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. A dedicated wife, selfless mother, and devoted grandma, she was an example to her family and community as a woman of patience, strength and faith.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Carroll Luke; parents, Allen Lumpkin and Eula Estelle Jackson Davis; sisters, Hazel Grace Morris and Virginia Davis; brothers, Pirkle Lamar Davis, Larry Gene Davis, and Billy Norman Davis and grandson, Evan Phillip Luke. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Jim and Phyllis Luke, of Oconee County, and Sandy and Tom Elliott, of Duluth; her admiring grandchildren and their spouses, Suzanna (Luke) and Michael Trice of Peachtree Corners, Katie (Elliott) and Dan Burnett, of Statham, Julie (Elliott) and Tim Woodson, of Buford, and Jill (Elliott) and Joe Tereshinski of Matthews, NC; and seven cherished great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her brother, Donald Davis, of Oconee County, beloved nieces, Brenda Luke and Linda Casper, many other nieces and nephews, and a community of lifelong friends.
The family will welcome visitors from 6-8 pm on Friday, May 25, at Lord and Stephens, West, in Bogart. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 26, at Lord and Stephens Chapel, West at 11 am.
Lord and Stephens, West, Bogart, has charge of arrangements.
