Elizabeth Morris "Betty" Logan

May 21, 1918 — September 16, 2015

Elizabeth "Betty" Morris Logan, 97, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Daughter of the late James Redden and Annie Sharp Morris, Betty was a native of Colbert. Betty loved to quilt and to be out in the garden with her flowers, and was a member of Colbert Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jowett W. Logan, siblings; Marie Morris, Katie Toney, Irene Osborne, Lucille Morris, Clifford Morris, Johnny Morris, and C.B. Morris, and a son-in-law, Nelson Shubert. Ms. Logan is survived by her children; Buddy Logan (June), Shirley McCarty (Billy), Sharon Hillsman (Mike), and Annette Shubert, brother Joe Morris, brother-in-law Ted Osborne, sister-in-law Oline Morris, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren, along with several neices and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 17th from 6-8 P.M. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 18th at 2:00 P.M. at Colbert Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Attica Baptist Church in Jefferson. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice and Rainbow Retirement for all the care they showed towards Ms. Betty.
