Watkinsville, GA - Elizabeth Hayes Burrell, 78, died September 22, 2006.
A native and lifelong resident of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Marie Frances Hayes. In her early life, she was employed in the textile industry in the Athens area. For 15-20 years after this, she owned and ran her own sandwich shop in Watkinsville. In her later years, she was a caregiver for several of the elderly in the Watkinsville area.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 25, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Oconee Chapel. Rev. Carlton Shelton and Dr. Larry Elliott will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Brent Burrell, Brad Burrell, Jimmy Moore, Greg Hayes, David Hayes and Clay Daniel.
Survivors include her son, Billy (Angie) Burrell of Watkinsville; 3 grandchildren, Brad Burrell, Brent (Lauren) Burrell and Lauren Burrell. Great grandson, Carson Hunter Burrell and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5:00 until 7:30 PM.
