Royston - Elizabeth "Libby" Wood Boykin, 60, formerly of Oconee County, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at her home.
Born in Greenville, SC she was the daughter of Mabel Mangrum Wood of Franklin Springs and the late Roy Wood. She was a member of Watkinsville First United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener and loved animals. Her sweet tooth was legendary.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law; Laurel Boykin (Jonathan) Murrow of Farmington; sons and daughters in law: Bo (Mary) Boykin of Commerce, Tyler (Randi) Boykin of Watkinsville; sister: Paulette Abbott of Hartwell; brother: Baxter Wood of Athens; grandchildren: Madeleine, Ella and Sophie Murrow, Glenn Boykin and Tyler Boykin, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 3PM at Watkinsville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Willis officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Lord & Stephens East Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Extra Special People or the Athens Humane Society.
