Elba Goss "E.G." Cooper Jr

Goss Cooper - Elba Goss "E.G." Cooper, Jr., age 89, of Comer, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Elba Goss Cooper, Sr. and Dottie Fleming Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during WWII. He was employed with Western Electric for over 35 years, and was a member of Vineyards Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hester Winona Harmon and Sue Cooper Smith.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, along with other extended family members.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Vineyard Creek Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vineyard Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
