Elanor S. Weiser

Elanor S. Weiser, age 95, of Athens, wife of the late Charles Stanley Weiser, died on Thursday, January 24, 2013.
A native of Sharon, Pa., Mrs. Weiser was the daughter of the late James Francis and Mary Daley Stanton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Robert Weiser; brother, James R. Stanton; and sister, Mary Catherine Headlee. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Jimmy Christopher, of Watkinsville, and Mary Lynne and Paul Ochenkowski, of Oak Hill, Va.
Mrs. Weiser was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was very involved in various women's groups and activities. She was also a member of the Athens Women's Club, Homewood Hills Garden Club, and the Noon Club, and was an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts, having received a Thanks Badge.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Watkinsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to Mass.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home West, Bogart, is in charge of the arrangements.
The family invites friends for a time of remembrance following the service, from 2-4 p.m., at the home of Gayle and Jimmy Christopher, 56 North 3rd Street, Watkinsville.
Flowers will be accepted.
