Elaine K. Wood

Watkinsville - Elaine K. Wood, 63, died September 14, 2005. A longtime resident of this area, she was a daughter of the late Margaret Emma Montgomery and Charles Manley Kenney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Van Wood and sister, Shirley Smith. She was owner and operator of Mrs. Elaine's Day Care for over thirty-five years and was a member of Ray's United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Ray's United Methodist Church with Rev. Odell Elrod officiating. Interment will be in Johnson United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Charles and Connie Wood of Bogart, Valerie and Joe Wilson, and Nolan Wood, all of Watkinsville; brother-in-law and spouse, Morton and Marie Smith of Watkinsville; two grandchildren, Casey Wilson and Kenney Wilson; a number of nieces and nephews and special employee, Bettye Scott of Greensboro, GA.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Hansford, Steve Hansford, Mark Savage, Woodson Montgomery, Herman Smith, Richard Smith, Harold Townley and Hinton Patrick.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Ray's United Methodist Church.
