Elaine Amelia (Hulsey) Pritchett

Elaine Amelia Pritchett, 78, wife of the late J.W. Pritchett, died Monday, January 7, 2019. Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Carl Hulsey and Amelia Drummond Hulsey and was also preceded in death by her sister Becki Morgan.  Mrs. Pritchett was a member of Mount Paran Church of God.  Elaine had various positions in her life to support her family, but her true career was nurturing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elaine was a very strong woman who overcame many obstacles in her life, including losing her first husband, James P. Vance, at  an early age and raised two children as a single mother.

Survivors include her daughter: Toni (Mark) Sizemore of Athens; son: James Paul Vance, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; stepsons: Russell Pritchett of Tucker, GA, Thomas Pritchett of Thomasville, GA; sister: Terri Harris of Jacksonville, FL; brother: Carl Hulsey, II of FL; grandchildren: Clint, Charlie, Henry and Madison Sizemore, Jaime and Jimmy Vance and Cheyenne Scher; step grandchildren: Jessie, Shayne and Brian Pritchett; great grandchildren: Amelia, Tucker, Harley, D.J. and Amaya and nephews and niece, Joey, Dannie, Mandi, Jonathan and Carl, III and her most recent beloved companion, Buddy.  Now that she resides in God's kingdom, she will be reunited with all of the who passed before her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 3PM at Beech Haven Baptist Church with a reception following in the church fellowship hall.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lanier Gardens or Kindred Hospice.
