Monroe - Edwin R. Wommack, 61, died August 25, 2007.
Born in Walton County, he was the son of the late Horace and Maudie Martin Wommack and was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Wommack and nephew, Jimmy Martin. Mr. Wommack retired in October, 1999 from General Motors after 34 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sarah L. Wommack; sons, Marty (Barbi) Wommack, Mark (Teri) Wommack of Monroe and Jason (Mandy) Wommack of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Natalie, Wesley, Meagan, Taylor and Brantley; sister, Helen Martin of Monroe; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 27, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, Monroe. Interment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Lord and Stephens Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
