Edwin "Ed" Davis Lovern, Sr., 69, died July 13, 2010.
A native and lifelong resident of Oconee County, he was a son of the late Granderson and Annie Laura Bradberry Lovern.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Doris M. Lovern; children, Lynn Lovern (Scott) Truluck of Brunswick, GA; Edwin Davis (Brooke) Lovern, Jr., of Bishop, GA; Angela Lovern (Clay) Durham of Athens, GA; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Lovern of Bishop, GA and Betty Lovern (Grover, Jr.) Jones of Hull, GA; four grandchildren, Jonathan Truluck, Gracie Truluck, Nicholas Kenney and Davis Lovern; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tom Perry, Leo Baker, Grover Foster, Mark Durham, Marvin Green, Julian Hammond, Kenny Reynolds and David Coker.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to High Shoals Methodist Church.
