Edward "Ned" Lloyd Sanders, Jr.

Edward Lloyd Sanders, Jr. “Ned”, 91, passed away on January 25, 2023. Born on April 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Edward Lloyd Sanders, Sr. and Lillie Clyde Sorrow Sanders.

Ned was a veteran of the United States Airforce spending four years in active duty, later retiring from the University of Georgia as a Department Manager in the student loan department. He was very involved in the community and within the church, Salem Baptist, in which he was a longtime member. Ned was an avid gardener, had a strong faith and above all else, loved his family unconditionally.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Annie, Oma, Jean, Betty and Jacqueline.

Survivors include his wife, Suella Sanders; daughters, Sande Brubaker (Dale), Suzy Skelton (Mark); Siblings, Margaret Bridges, Billy Sanders, Callie Owens, Clayton Sanders, Jane Sanders; grandchildren, Ben Brubaker (Jessi), Sara Milan (R.J.), Dan Brubaker (Halle), Josh Skelton (Ashley), Jake Skelton (Heather), Lily Wright (Michael), Robbie Skelton; eleven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Brett Mask officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
