Athens, GA - Edward M. Wolfe, 68, died June 25, 2008.
Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Daly Meade and Margaret Harris Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by a brother, Daly Lynwood Wolfe, sister, Sue Ann Harrell, twin brother, Douglas Wolfe and stepson, Spencer Redmon.
Mr. Wolfe was U.S. Army veteran and was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture with 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he taught Economics at Piedmont College. He was a member of Athens Evening Optimist Club and Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Chapelwood United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard H. Moeller officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis S. Wolfe; son, Douglas M Wolfe and his wife Bernadette of Valley Village, CA; stepdaughter, Tamara Munger and her husband Major Bruce Munger of Ft. Drum, NY; brother, Robert Wolfe of Clinton, MD and grandchildren, Laurel Munger, Robbie Wolfe and Megan Wolfe.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chapelwood United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund.
