Edward Luther Russum, 80, died August 18, 2010.
A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, he was a son of the late Gertrude Irvin and Luther Allen Russum and was preceded in death by a brother, William Russum. He was employed with L. H. Leathers for many years, was a member of the National Rifle Association and Friendship Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 20, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Dillard officiating.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Vivian L. Russum; son, Douglas Russum of Hull; daughter, Glenda (Thomas) Parten of Royston; granddaughter, Kate Russum.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
