Edward Frazer Prather, 88, died April 10, 2006.
Born in Jasper, GA, he was the son of the late Lee and Gladys Frazer Prather. Mr. Prather was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict. Following his graduation from The University of Georgia, Mr. Prather taught Agriculture at Colbert High School for several years before farming full time. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Highway 29, Danielsville.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Private burial will be in the Eberhart Cemetery on the Prather Family Farm.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Prather; children, Virginia Sorrow (Leslie) of Athens, Emily Smith (DeWitt) of Watkinsville, Mary Ann Simmons (Dennis) of Colbert, Sally Simmons (Bruce) of Marked Tree, Arkansas and Paul Prather (Rebekah) of Colbert; grandchildren, Lana Simmons and Tyler Simmons; and brother, Loyd Prather of Jasper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
