Athens - Edward Monroe Berryman, 77, died December 8, 2005.
A native of Jackson County, he was a son of the late Neily Matilda and General Meade Berryman and was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Pritchett. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 10, 2005, at 11:00 AM at Forest Heights Baptist Church. Revs. Mike Purdy and W. D. Thomason will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Laura J. ìBootsî Berryman; children, Eddie Berryman of Danielsville, Lynn Berryman of Royston, and Cathy Clark and husband, Bruce of Watkinsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ferald Berryman of Stockbridge, Coke Berryman of Winter Park, FL, Junious and Mary Berryman of Crawford, Ray and Nita Berryman of Athens; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gretel and George Cronic of Hull, Margaret Hansford of Hull, Darline and H. C. Anderson of Flowery Branch, Peggy Berryman of Martinez, and Bobbie Jean and Fred Burroughs of Hull; six grandchildren, Nicole Bare, Crystal Berryman, Josh Berryman, Mitch Clark, Lauren Clark, and Alex Clark; three great grandchildren, Cody Bare, Emily Bare, and Nathaniel Berryman.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Clark, Alex Clark, Josh Berryman, Bruce Clark, Norm Ivie, Ronald Shedd and Kevin Bare. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Moser Bible Class.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
