Edna Odom

Edna Odom, formerly of Waycross, died January 18, 2010 in Athens, GA. Miss Odom was born in Macon, GA November 25, 1919. She was the daughter of James Robert and Ethel Smith Odom. A 1936 graduate of Waycross High School, Miss Odom was retired from the Georgia Department of Labor Vocational Rehabilitation Services office in Waycross. She was a member of First Christian Church of Waycross. For the last five years, she resided in Danielsville, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law Marion and Wright Izlar, brother and sister-in-law Fred C. and Doris Odom, brother Sterling Odom all of this city; and brother and sister-in-law Julian and Alberta Odom of Macon. She is survived by nephew Fred Odom of St. Augustine, FL; nephew Bob Izlar and wife Janice of Danielsville; great niece Tate Izlar of Athens; great nephew Joel Izlar and wife Jessica of Athens; and great niece Shea Odom and great nephew Devin Odom of Jacksonville, FL.
A private burial will be in the family plot at Sandy Creek Cemetery in Cork, GA.
