Edna (Alewine) Crawford

Edna Alewine Crawford, age 76, passed away on October 21, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Myrtie Alewine. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Benny Crawford and brothers, J.B., Willie and Odell Alewine. She was the owner of Edna's Grocery and a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce.
Survivors include her children, Lindy Cain of Commerce, Beth Kellum of Jefferson, Dale Bowles of Commerce, Shirley Porterfield of Danielsville, and Johnny Wood of Nicholson; sisters: Carol Davis of Athens, Janelle Whitlock of Danielsville; brother: Curtis "Bud" Alewine of Commerce, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 3PM at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Beth Kellum and Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. The family will receive friend from 6 to 8, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the funeral home.
