Born in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Harry Holiday Sims and Octavia Wilson Sims.
Survivors include 5 children: Michael Borders of Lexington, KY, Thomas "Tommy" Borders of Crawford, Terrie Combs of Danielsville, Kenneth D. Borders of Bogart, Gregory L. Borders of Florida; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
