Eatonton, GA - Edith J. Womack, 89, died Tuesday, January 05, 2010.
Born in Lula, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Vasco and Lonnie Cagle Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years William Marvin Womack, Sr. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a manager of Millers Book Store in Decatur for many years and later a member of Oconee Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons William Marvin Womack, Jr. of Suwanee, Larry Womack of Eatonton, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Oconee Memorial Chapel 2370 Hwy 53 Watkinsville, GA 30677, Friday January 8, 2010 at 1:00pm. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 at Oconee Memorial Park with Rev. Jack Segars officiating.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the FERST Foundation for Childhood Literacy P.O. Box 1327 Madison GA 30650.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
