Athens, GA - Edith Dixon Witt, 92, died April 29, 2007.
A native of Washington County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Erbie H. and Kate Wooten Dixon, and the widow of Ted Rose Witt. Mrs. Witt was a former resident of Lanier Gardens and Magnolia Estates.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include two children, Jane Compton Mullins of Athens and Judy Compton King of Kiawah Island, SC; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 327 North Lumpkin, Athens, GA 30601, or Georgia Museum of Art, 90 Carlton St., Athens, GA 30602.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
