Edith Henderson

Edith Guthrie Henderson, born December 20, 1965, was a loving mother of three sons, Michael and Rachel Henderson, Ethan Henderson, and Dawson Henderson.

She is survived by her mother, Joyce Guthrie, five siblings and their spouses, Joe and Teresa Guthrie, Connie and Audrey Gowder, Phyllis Rogers, Judy and Wayne Stone, and Elaine and Eddy Gunter, as well as her childhood best friend, Charlene Satterfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved and cared for as much as her own children.

While at times trying, Edith loved and drew much appreciation from the kindness she received from the individuals she served and the friends she made as a US Postal Service carrier. Above all else, her greatest passion in life was for the family she loved and the family who loved her equally in turn.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Rev. Sheila Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
