Edith Wood Gabriel, 89, wife of the late Claud Patrick Gabriel, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
A native of Gwinnett County, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Alford Wood and Floy Leach Wood. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Gabriel and sister, Helen Jackson. She was a homemaker, member of Hull Baptist Church and Ambassadors of Georgia Power.
Survivors include her sons: Marvin Fountain and wife Anna, Michael Gabriel; brother: Wallace Wood; grandchildren: Lara Fountain, Jesse Fountain, Tracy Fountain, Luke Fountain and Lian Gabriel and one great granddaughter, Anya Gentzel
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial will follow at Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the funeral home.
