Danielsville - Edgar Jack Smith, 69, husband of the late Jacquelyn Augustas Ogletree Smith, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of Martha Hayes Smith and the late Loanier Curtis Smith. He was a member of Elder Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Neil Russell, son and daughter in law, David and Lisa Smith, brothers; Gene Smith and Joe Smith, sisters; Carolyn Harris, Barbara Smith, Sara Haygood, Martha Lovins, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2006 at 2PM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Carlton Shelton officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Oconee Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
